- Are you tired of feeling trapped and imprisoned by your out-of-control habit of eating candies, cookies and crackers?

- Are you agonized because every time you commit to stop sweets—always with the best of intentions—you inevitably fail and end up packing in piles of potato chips, pasta and pretty desserts?

help you—and in only 5 weeks. You do not have to
suffer! You can easily, quickly, permanently rise above
your unsavory, sad sugar situation!

"Your
program
(which
sounded
too
good
to
be
true)
was
not
only
real
and
true
but
let
me
know
that
I
was
not
alone
and
that
there
was
a
way
out."
Dear
Connie,
It's
just
2
years
this
week
that
I
found
out
about
and
signed
up
for
your
"Fast
Track
Kick
Sugar
Program."
Little
did
I
know
that
it
would
change
my
life.
At
55,
I
consider
myself
very
savvy
about
nutrition
and
exercise.
But
I am
and
always
have
been
a
total
sugar
addict
--
so
all
that
knowledge
and
info
goes
out
the
window
when
presented
with
the
option
of
eating
sugar.
Your
program
(which
sounded
too
good
to
be
true)
was
not
only
real
and
true
but
let
me
know
that
I
was
not
alone
and
that
there
was
a
way
out.
Then,
through
my
additional
private
phone
consultations
with
you,
I
received
alternate
snack
ideas;
help
to
discover
my
personal
triggers
that
made
me
mindlessly
eat
sweets;
recipe
ideas;
new
behaviors
to
keep
me
on
track;
genuine
encouragement;
and
steadfast
support.
My
kick-sugar
buddy
(who
you
set
me
up
with)
was
another
participant
in
Oregon,
and
we
e-mailed
each
other
often
(sometimes
daily)
to
check
in
with
each
other.
The
mostly
daily
e-mails
of
info
and
support
from
you
were
essential
to
my
success
in
the
program,
too.
Then,
through
the
weekly
phone
lectures
with
various
nutritionists
such
as
the
great
Dr.
Jonny
Bowden,
Dr.
Ann-Louise
Gittleman,
Dr.
Nancy
Appleton
and
other
amazing
experts,
I
gained
new
knowledge,
inspiration
and
motivation.
At
the
end
of
the
10
weeks,
I
was
15
pounds
lighter
(I
only
needed
to
lose
maybe
20#
or
so)
and
a
whole
lot
happier
and
more
energetic.
I
worried
that
I
would
not
be
able
to
continue
on
my
own...but
I
wasn't
on
my
own.
You
still
sent
e-mails
about
upcoming
events,
invitations
to
your
radio
show
and
to
podcasts
of
them,
and
links
to
interesting
articles,
all
of
which
helped
to
keep
me
motivated.
I
could
go
on
and
on.
Then,
I
started
talking
to
my
clients
--
I'm
a
massage
therapist
and
personal
trainer
--
about
their
relationship
to
food
and
sugar.
Connecting
this
way
to
people
around
me
helped
me
stay
on
track
(and
become
a
role
model
to
some
extent).
If I
tell
people
out
loud
that
I
don't
eat
sugar,
I
kind
of
have
to
not
eat
sugar,
or I
look
pretty
foolish....I
should
also
mention
that
I
own
3
copies
of
your
book,
Sugar Shock!,
which
I
use
for
reference
and
lend
to
clients
and
friends
(and
I,
of
course,
encourage
them
to
buy
their
own).
Now,
2
years
later,
I am
about
80%
sugar
free.
I've
learned
a
lot
more
about
myself,
especially
that
I am
human
and
old
habits
and
addictions
die
hard.
But
I
keep
working
at
it.
It's
an
ongoing
learning
process.
I'm
happy
to
be
80%
which
is a
whole
lot
better
then
I
was
before
I
found
you,
your
book
SUGAR
SHOCK!
and
your
seminar
program.
Connie,
I
know
that
you
work
hard
at
something
you
love.
I
hope
that
you
realize
that
all
your
hard
work
has
made
a
tremendous
impact
on
the
lives
of
many
people.
I
wish
you
the
best
and
continued
success
and
I
hope
that
we
stay
in
touch
for
a
long,
long
time.

Sugar Shock! and
Get the Sugar Out are required reading for this
course. These books will help you to kick sugar
for good. |
You may be wondering how I can help you when you’ve
always failed before.
Let me share my sad sugar story
with you so you can learn why I’m ideal to help you Stop
Sugar Shock!
Who am I
and why should you listen to me?

Back in 1998, I was very much like you. That’s right,
I was once in your boat. So I sympathize with your sugar
desperation, frustration and aggravation.
In fact, even though I kicked sugar nearly 10 years
ago, I still can feel the unbearable pain, the
overpowering self-loathing and the utter hopelessness of
being an agonized, frustrated, struggling sugar addict.
Back in 1998, I was walloped by a whopping 44
symptoms! On a typical day, I’d:
- Get scared by scary heart palpitations.
- Feel blue about nothing in particular.
- Be struck by overpowering fatigue.
- Find it difficult to concentrate.
- “Need” dessert foods and simple, processed,
fast-acting carbs.
Sadly, I wasted lots of money and did some really
strange things to get my sugar "fix":
- I’d take special treks across town just to
buy my favorite, low-calorie hard candies. (Who
was I fooling? They were loaded with sugar and
high fructose corn syrup!)
- Or I’d sit in a supermarket parking lot and
wolf down a dozen sticks of red licorice sticks
before seeing my boyfriend Mark for the evening.
(And I wondered why we always had fights after
my sugar overloading!)
- Or I’d buy a gourmet, expensive chocolate
just to get “energy,” “soothe” my stress,” or
“lift” my spirits. (Does any of this misery sound
familiar to you?)
You wouldn't have known looking at me that I
was a sugar addict, because my weight was normal
(other than 5 pounds I wanted to lose), but I
was badly trapped in a cycle of sugar highs and
lows. What’s more, while watching calories, I
neglected to get ample quality, nutritious fare.
Junk food ruled me!
I suspect that I committed many, if not more,
of the same basic dietary errors and absurd
behavior that you're making now. (Trust me: You
are not alone! Rather, you are in the company of
millions!)
Worse still, my boyfriend at the time dumped me
because he'd had enough of my irrational,
erratic, moody, crybaby, unfocused, seemingly
unbalanced, "Sugar Shrew" behavior. (Aargh, I
was a mess!)
So there I was, heartbroken and feeling
simply awful. That's when I wearily dragged my
baffled, befuddled self to yet another
physician, one of many I'd seen over the years.
My new M.D. quickly diagnosed severe
hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Next, he ordered
“the impossible”—he insisted I quit all sweets
and refined carbs in order to banish my
symptoms. Yikes! That "prescription"—if you want
to call it that—didn’t go over well with me!
Since I’d hit rock bottom, I figured I had
nothing to lose (other than feeling life a
lifeless, energy-sapped slug). So I decided to
follow my M.D.s advice—I would conquer my cookie
monster!
But what came next was one of the most
lonely, frustrating periods of my life. Have you
tried to kick sugar and refined carbs all by
yourself?
Frankly, I just didn’t know how to actually
quit the sweet substance. After all, I’d been
hooked on and off for years.
Never mind, I decided. “I’m a trained
reporter,” I thought. “I should be able to
figure this out.”
So I mapped out my own kick-sugar course. I
plunged into investigative journalist mode. It
became my mission to excel at kicking sugar—even
if everyone around me thought I was kooky.
Although I was initially reluctant to quit my
cherished sweets, I soon became excited,
motivated and sustained by the promise of a
happier, healthier life.
My doctor’s words kept ringing in my
ears—that a better life was waiting for me
around the corner! So I became determined to
succeed and find out if he was right.
So kicking sugar became my prime focus. To
that end, here’s some of what I did:
- For months, I relied on “companions”
that couldn’t talk back to me—I pored over a
select few books that I found about sugar
and hypoglycemia. (Obviously, my book Sugar Shock! wasn’t published yet.)
- I tracked down a wonderful woman to help
me—Roberta Ruggiero, founder of the
Hypoglycemia Support Foundation. (Every
month or so, I’d make monthly, desperate,
tear-filled, frantic monthly phone calls to
Roberta, and she always offered me a lot of
compassion, encouragement and tips. Her
selfless, considerate attitude inspired me
to try to do the same for you now.)
- I visited my doctor regularly, as
requested, and I took the herbs and
supplements he recommended. (I also cried
and complained when he would listen.)
- I kept reminding myself of my doctor’s
words—that just removing those dangerous
fast-acting carbs was the key to good
health, joy and fulfillment.
- I hit bookstores and libraries to study
books on how to break a habit and achieve
inner peace. (Bear in mind that the Internet
was not in vogue in 1998.)
- I rested and relaxed as much as I could.
(Fortunately, since I was a freelance
journalist, I could turn down assignments
and keep my “kick-sugar project” a secret
from my editors.)
- Repeatedly, I pored over motivational
passages and sought out inspiring books by
masters such as The Power of Positive
Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale, As
a Man Thinketh by James Allen and You
Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.
- And I developed a bunch of helpful tips
and tactics to help me survive moments of
temptation.
- I even jotted down on 3 x 5” note cards
fail-proof things to do when down in the
dumps or short on will power.
And I finally did it! Even though it was
challenging and difficult at times,
I
kicked sugars and refined carbs all by
myself.
Now, nearly 10 years later, you get the
benefits of all my hard work!
But you need to know: My doctor's
predictions came true!
Amazingly, kicking my favorite sweets
and quickie carbs made all 44 of my strange
maladies disappear!
That’s right: My brain fog, heart
palpitations, headaches, fatigue and 40
other symptoms completely evaporated!
Just the simple act of
stopping the sugar and simple carbs was the
most remarkable, empowering, life-changing
action that I've ever taken!
Soon, I regained my energy, enthusiasm
and elation.
Not to sound trite, but I felt
reborn just by removing sugar and fast-acting carbs from
my diet!
What a tremendous relief it was to say
farewell to my "Sugar Shrew!"—the chick (or
Connie-on-sugar), who alienated my boyfriend, annoyed my
friends (and myself), and who did some embarrassing
things! (I'm still mortified thinking about my
sugar-filled days!)
Nearly 10 years later, those experiences have stayed
with me. In fact, because of my horrific, debilitating,
sugar-obsessed past, I'm now on a mission to help you!
I’m driven to help you sugar addicts
successfully overcome your habit and begin a new life as
I once did.
My intention now is to motivate,
inspire and educate you.
I want you, too, to
feel excited, empowered and energized just from taking
control over your sugar habit.
- That’s why I researched and wrote my book SUGAR
SHOCK!
- That’s why I developed this group Stop Sugar Shock! program to help you break free of your sugar addiction in only
5 weeks.
- That’s why I take on private clients to help
them lick their sugar habit.
- And that’s why I’m now completing my second
book, The Stop SUGAR SHOCK! Diet, which can help
even more people.
I'm so excited... because I know that in a mere 5
weeks, you'll feel like a different person!
Perhaps you think that these people possess special,
kick-sugar personality traits that you don't have.
You might think, "No way can I do
what they've done!"
So let's deal with your most pressing objections
right now.
Let's discuss the 7 top reasons you might not
register for my 5-week Stop Sugar Shock Program.
Start examining your resistance so you don't
self-sabotage yourself by not taking action now. Based
upon what I've witnessed by personally working with
sugar addicts, interviewing them and corresponding with
them, these are the 7 top reasons you might not register
for my Stop Sugar Shock! Program™:
Reason # 1: "I simply don't
have the will power to kick sweets."
Hogwash. That isn't what
kicking sugar is all about. You'll learn really easy
tactics in the Stop Sugar Shock! Program that won't
require will power to keep you from eating sweets.
Reason # 2: "I just feel so darn deprived when I
can't have sweets and my favorite carbs. So why even
bother?"
No problem. We'll help you
change your mindset so that deprivation is the last
thing you're worried about. Rather, you'll learn to
focus on what you gain by kicking these low-quality
carbs.
Reason # 3: "It's just not possible to give up
sweets while living in any 'civilized,' industrialized
city in America or abroad."
Trust me: You can give up
sweets even if you're in the midst of the most
trafficked, fast-food-filled city in the world! You just
need some special secrets to help you pull it off, and
we'll give you some wonderful ones so you, too, can win!
Reason #4: "If I give up sweets, I won't be able
to socialize with my friends and family anymore, because
they're all eating that stuff."
That's another faulty
assumption. You’ll get tips on how to socialize without
sweets and how to focus in on the people you're with
rather than on the food that's served.
Reason # 5: "There's no way that I can deal with
stress without my sugary 'fixes.'"
Yeah, many former sugar addicts
used to believe that, too. That’s why I'll give you
effective stress-breaking techniques. You’ll even get
some ideas from stress-reduction expert Jill R. Baron,
M.D.
Reason # 6: "I need to take candy bar breaks just
to get enough energy to get me through the day."
Actually, that's just not true!
Sugar robs you of your energy. You’ll learn much better,
more healthy ways to rev yourself up.
Reason # 7: "Every time I've tried to kick sugar
in the past I've failed, so why should I even bother to
try again?"
That point of view is
understandable; in fact I used to fail a lot myself. But
in this Stop Sugar Shock! Program, you’ll get helpful
tools, unconditional support and groundbreaking
information that'll ensure your success this time.
Wondering if it's really
worth it to take the plunge and sign up for my
5-week Stop Sugar Shock! program?
Before you decide, just listen to these joyful,
energized "Sugar Kickers."

“I Can Hardly
Believe [That I’m]
This Stable,
Friendly Person…”
"Sadly there is
very little
understanding by the
general public—or
even among
doctors—as to the
havoc sugar
addiction plays with
one's emotions,
relationships and
health.
"Even now, after
four years off
sugar, I can hardly
believe [that I’m]
this stable,
friendly person
could have lain
hidden for half a
century under the
crazy roller-coaster
mood changes of my
former
sugar-controlled
self.
"There is a great
need for reliable

regarding the
dangers of sugar and
refined
carbohydrates and
the chance to share
solutions to the
problems they
cause."

“Reduction in PMS
Symptoms is a Nice
`Side Effect’ of
Kicking Sugar”
"Since joining
KickSugar 3 months
ago, I significantly
cut back on my sugar
and simple-carb
intake. Besides the
immediate benefit of
not feeling
exhausted and
irritable, I have
noticed a longer
term
benefit—significantly
reduced PMS.
“I have suffered
from PMS (bloating,
cravings, being
overly emotional)
since I was 13. I
have tried all sorts
of things from
herbal to chemical
to relieve me of my
symptoms. Since I
started severely
restricting my sugar
intake, I have
noticed that I don't
have half of my
symptoms, and
they're not as
severe either.
"I can't
attribute this to
anything else except
for cutting back
significantly on
sugar. It is the
only thing that I
have done that would
make a difference.
Reduction in PMS
symptoms is a nice
'side effect' of
kicking sugar!"

"The
Transformation
Was
Extraordinary"
"Over
the
course
of a
day, I'd
swing
from
bad-tempered
to
lighthearted;
from
depressed
to
boisterous
-- all
for no
apparent
reason.
All day
I'd be
‘self-medicating'
with a
regular
intake
of
sugar,
in
particular,
chocolate.
My
favorite
main
courses
were all
sugar-laden
ones
such as
sweet-and-sour
pork and
barbecued
ribs.
"Once I
stopped
consuming
sugar
and
other
refined
carbohydrates,
my mood
swings,
weepiness,
morning
sensitivity,
and
lethargy
ceased!
The
transformation
was
extraordinary;
I became
a new
person
and had
to get
to know
myself
all over
again --
a
strange
experience
in one's
40s."

Why will
this program help you to kick sugar and refined
carbs when other methods you've tried before have
failed?
I just got off the phone with Pamela, a charming
woman from New York, who's been trying for years to kick
her sugar habit. Before enrolling in my Stop Sugar Shock!
5-week program, she asked me a very powerful
question: "Why will this program work when others have
failed for me?"
Actually, I was really glad that she asked me that!
So I'm now sharing with you what I told her.
First off, I am a former sugar addict, who was
trapped for years by my horrible habit until I kicked it
in 1998. Essentially, I'm now walking around living the
life that you'd like to have.
What's more, probably like you, before I finally
succeeded in kicking sweets, I failed so many darn
times—way too many to even count! I was really good at
slipping and "falling off the wagon," as they say in
alcohol recovery circles. Frankly, often, I felt that it
was virtually impossible that I'd ever be able to
overcome my sugar issues.
But once my doctor prescribed that I quit sweets, I
became determined to smash this incredibly tough-to-quit
habit and developed my own successful tactics.
You want to know how I did it? Well, in this program,
I'll share with you the tips, tricks, strategies and
gimmicks that enabled me to finally conquer my sugar
demon.
But wait. You'll get much more than just the benefits
of my experience. You see, I spent five years working on
my book Sugar Shock! So you'll get...
- Secrets, strategies and insights shared by more
than 200 cutting-edge researchers, pre-eminent
doctors, recognized nutritionists and motivational
speakers.
- Little-known tactics that have worked for
hundreds of successful "Sugar Kickers."
- Conclusions shared in medical studies from
hundreds of researchers.
- Ideas for simple behavioral and emotional
changes that can work wonders.
What’s More…In
This Program, You're Getting What You Requested!
Between privately coaching "sugar sufferers" like
you, working on my book Sugar Shock! and
interviewing hundreds of experts, I've heard just about
every question imaginable from someone wanting to kick
sweets.
In fact, in this Stop Sugar Shock! Program, I'll
answer your most pressing questions.
If you want to make sure I answer yours, too, just
submit your questions to
www.JustAskConnie.com before the program begins.
So now you know why some reasons why this program
will work for you when other programs have failed.
What you'll ultimately discover is this: It's a lot
easier to kick sugar than you'd expect—if you just knew
a few simple secrets. But sadly, most people don't know
these techniques, and that's what I'll teach you in this
landmark, 5-week Stop Sugar Shock! Program.
Now listen to more happy “Sugar Kickers” with whom
I’ve worked.

"I Just
Never Knew
Life Could
Be This
Good!"

"By
the
time
I
turned
12,
I
weighed
175
pounds
and
was
5'
7".
While
growing
up,
I
couldn't
ride
a
bike
or
climb
trees
like
the
other
neighborhood
kids,
and
I
was
always
getting
bruises,
broken
bones
or
stitches
from
being
so
fat
and
clumsy.
"In
my
senior

of

school,
I
hit
my

I
was
miserable
and
hated
myself.
Worse
yet,
guys
and
girls
would
holler
out,
'Moo!
Oink,
oink!
Fat

Or
they'd
yell,
'Hungry,
hungry

as I
walked
by.
And,
I
was

no

"In

sweets.
I

Baked

such
as

were
my
biggest
downfall.
It
didn't
matter
to
me
if I
had
money
in
my
bank
account
or
not;
I'd
just
use
my
credit
cards.
"I'd
come
home
with
boxes

bags
of

peanut

Then,
I'd

my
ankles,
legs and

were
always
swollen;
I had
horrible

achy
joints;
I woke
up in
night

I had
constant

and I
was
always
tired. I
was

"I
totally

All this
at age

have
self
confidence;
and I
have a
relationship
with
God. (I
didn't
have one
before,
because
the
sugar
blocked
my
spiritual
connection.)
"My life
is so
full now
that I
don't
even
have
time to
watch
TV,
which is
where I
did all
of my
bingeing.
My
mental
peace

is the

"Kicking Sweets
Changed My Life!"
"I've been hooked on
sugar my entire
life. I would stash
rolls of
sweet-and-sour
candies in every
coat pocket, in my
purse, in my work
bag, in my desk
drawer, in my car,
in my nightstand
drawer, in the
coffee table drawer.
A 14-ounce glass of
iced tea would
require five to six
sugars, too. Toast
didn't get eaten
unless it was soaked
with butter and
covered with brown
sugar.
"For 10 to 15 years,
I suffered. I had no
energy, and I was
tired all the time.
I would get the
shakes and dizzy
spells, I always had
sugar cravings, and
I would get moody,
bitchy, demanding
and irritable.
"Finally, on January
14, 2002, my doctor
told me that I was
hypoglycemic. She
told me to cut out
all sugar, eat a
minimum of six small
meals a day, and eat
protein at every
meal. She also told
me to cut out simple
carbs like white
bread, rice and
cereal and eat
complex carbs like
vegetables, fruits
and whole grains.
"Kicking sweets
changed my life! I
feel SOOOOO much
better today than I
did 4 years ago.
Believe me, it is
VERY worth it!
"I am more
understanding and
less demanding. I
have more energy. My
concentration has
improved. I don't
get ravenous hunger
or dizzy spells
anymore unless I go
longer than three
hours without
eating. In general,
I feel better
overall. And, the
best part is that I
lost the 15 pounds
that I had put on
during the year
prior to kicking
sugar, and I have
kept it off!!!"
